People of India elected Narendra Damodardas Modi as the 16th Prime minister of India with a lot of dreams and expectations. Modi claimed that he had created a high rate of GDP growth in Gujarat. Modi projected himself as a person who could bring about "development," without focus on any specific policies. His message and vision found support among young Indians and among middle-class citizens.
But the question is did he delivered as promised? Are we experiencing the “achhe din” Modi had promised in his election speeches in early 2014?
Achievements:
- Foreign policy: Modi made it a personal agenda, to uplift India’s name in the International level. He has visited 53 countries till march 2018 .
- Modi Effect: Modi is a strong leader and BJP was able to market Modi to bring majority of states under BJP rule. BJP rule 21 states as of march 2018.
