Loneliness: A State of Mind

People associate loneliness with depression and sadness. For most people, this may be true, but for some, loneliness is an escape from insane and narcissist society. Loneliness is not meant for everyone. Only some people can handle loneliness because loneliness can drive people to madness.

Solitude is a gift. It heals your pain and sorrow and heightens your state of mind by finding your own voice deep within. Solitude has the power to rejuvenate your soul and supercharge your passion. I find peace in my solitary moments.

F. Scott Fitzgerald once said,"The loneliest moment in someone’s life is when they are watching their whole world fall apart, and all they can do is stare blankly." This is completely true. Every person experiences loneliness in some point of their life. The person fights hard to shatter loneliness in their life. For that, he or she may indulge in many activities that may ultimately creates further loneliness. Some people resort to comfort eating, others acquire a new taste for alcohol and some spends money on unnecessary things to find happiness.

Solitude is a gift. It heals your pain and sorrow and heightens your state of mind by finding your own voice deep within. Solitude has the power to rejuvenate your soul and supercharge your passion. I find peace in my solitary moments. I like to go for a walk alone or spend time with myself by reading or listening to music. This allows me to find my inner peace. But not everyone find this exquisite.

Solitude helps to find yourself.

Being alone has a lot of psychological advantages.

1. Solitude refreshes and rewinds your brain. We spend our day thinking a lot (even overthinking), without rest. This doesn't give your brain a chance to rest and replenish itself. Therefore, solitude allows to revitalize your mind and body to clear your mind and think more clearly.

2. Being alone helps to improve concentration and increase productivity. When you remove as many distractions and interruptions as you can from your day, you are better able to concentrate, which will help you get more work done in a shorter amount of time.

3. Solitude gives you an opportunity to discover your true self and find your own voice deep within. When you're a part of a group, you're more likely to go along with what the group is doing (mob psychology). This supresses your true desire and limits autonomy to take decisions.

4. Solitude provides time for you to think clearly and deeply. Our day to day responsibilities can cloud our mind and limit critical thinking. Meditating for 15 minutes or taking short walk in the park alone can clear your mind and freshen your thoughts.

5. Solitude helps you to solve problems creatively. It's hard to think of effective solutions to problems when you're distracted by you own needless thoughts and stress. Therefore, find your inner peace by being alone with yourself and find solutions to the problems.

6. Solitude can enhance the quality of your relationships with your friends and family. By spending time with yourself and finding what you are deep within can have a profound impact on others you are interacting with.

Despite these benefits, it can be a real challenge to find some lone time for yourself in a world that is moving fast and has no time for others.
